Since 1998, Tempora has designed, realized, promoted, and managed exhibitions and cultural facilities across Europe (mainly in Belgium and France). In just over 25 years, we have become one of the leaders in the sector, with projects ranging from temporary exhibitions to permanent pathways.

Tempora

THE POSITION

The Engineering & Manufacturing Manager oversees the industrialization, technical design, and development of manufacturing and installation solutions for all exhibition projects created by Tempora. Leading the technical team, you supervise the team on a daily basis, organize method management, optimize processes, and ensure compliance with industrialization milestones. This strategic position applies the rigor of Manufacturing Engineering, from the preparation of bills of materials (BOM) to production management in accordance with scenographic requirements. You ensure continuous cross-functional coordination between the creative department, the manufacturing workshops, and the management of Tempora.


YOUR SPECIFIC MISSIONS

Technical Design & Engineering

  • Collaborate closely with set designers and creative teams to define construction methods, select suitable materials, establish measurements, and ensure the industrial feasibility of projects.

  • Establish and coordinate the detailed costing of manufacturing, production, and installation.

  • Establish load calculations and stability for museum installations.

  • Supervise the completion of the full manufacturing dossier (execution plans, assembly plans, electrotechnical diagrams, and audiovisual specifications).


Preparation and planning of the site

  • Develop and structure the operational planning of preparation and assembly tasks.

  • Ensure the completeness of engineering and manufacturing nomenclatures (BOM - Bill of Materials).

  • Define and structure the human resource needs (manpower planning) for assembly and site monitoring.

  • Organize and monitor the delivery schedules of raw materials, components, and transport logistics.

Site Monitoring & Compliance

  • Provide technical support to assembly/disassembly teams during the deployment of exhibitions on-site, both in Belgium and abroad.

  • Ensure overall safety (fire safety, electrical aggregation, mechanical aggregation) and ensure compliance with safety, quality standards, and internal procedures.

  • Have mechanical and electromechanical installations approved by an independent organization.

  • Ensure to obtain the necessary permits before any public opening, in accordance with current regulations.

  • Coordinate the preparation and finalization of the "As-built" files at the end of the project.


Maintenance & Automation Expertise

  • Ensure technical expertise for troubleshooting as well as the strategy for preventive, corrective, and curative maintenance of equipment.

  • Coordinate the programming, modification, and optimization of programmable logic controllers.


Stability and commitment:

A permanent contract of 39 hours/week.

Desired profile

Degree

Engineering degree (Industrial Engineering, Mechanical, Manufacturing) or equivalent Master's degree.

Languages

Maîtrise de deux de ces langues minimum : français, néerlandais, anglais

Professional experience

Minimum of 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, design office, industrialization, methods, or production management from the industry (automotive, aerospace, capital goods, manufacturing) or the event/scenic sector.

Soft Skills

Leadership, team facilitation skills, and change management. Mastery of engineering tools and BOM management. Analytical mindset, rigor, adaptability to apply industrial standards to the cultural sector.
